Once upon a time I would have thought this was an excellent idea, but after pixar's last few films...not so  much. (It's not really happening of course)

THINGS I LOVE #3
Clet Abraham is a French street artist who does some great things with common street signs by simply adding stickers to them:

FROM MY SKETCHBOOK #2

YOKAI! YOKAI! YOKAI!
FROM MY SKETCHBOOK:#1
I like to draw a lot. And I mean A LOT. However, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm any good at it. But I will be, nonetheless, posting  assorted doodles from time to time.

Chimp date
Dead gnomes are fun!

THINGS I MISS: #3
I miss frightening, yellow, amorphous blobs in top hats and bow ties telling me to brush my teeth, watch out for the munchies, hanker for hunks of cheese and this great helpful piece of wisdom.

Watch if you dare!
The Last US Signing Tour: Neil Gaiman.
I went to one of the stops on Neil Gaiman's farewell book tour for his new book

This will be your last chance to attend a book signing with the acclaimed author. The experience was simply incredible and hearing him read passages from his two new books was spine tingling fun! Getting personalized signed copies of Coraline and The Graveyard Book more so, was priceless and well wait the HOURS we waited in line. Yes, hours. As I was also joined by1,500 of my closest friends there as well. ( and about 500 of them were dressed up as Death)
If you haven't had a chance to read any of his books I suggest you pick up one of these titles.

A little song by Make Like Monkeys for all you prom goers out there

Yeah, that's right. It's called Gorilla Suit.
        I want these!
Why can't I have them. Did I mention I love yokai?

Ever wonder what the inside of a Mogwai looks like. Well, now you know!

THINGS IS MISS:#2
King Vitaman cereal. He truly did make about the best tasting cereal in the land.

THINGS I LOVE:#2
Yokai. What are they? A class of supernatural monsters in Japanese folklore.
This lovely fellow is a kappa. Should you ever run into one simply bow, he will spill the water collected on top of his head and be defeated. Yes, sad. Still, awesome.

THINGS I LOVE:#1
Cartoons and animation have been, and always will be, something I am crazy about. Michel Ocelot is an amazing french animator. He has made the award winning Kirikou films as well as a series of films of collected fairy tales. His style is breathing taking, often using only black silhouettes for his characters and backgrounds.  Right now, "Tales of Night", one of his fairy tale collections, is available to watch on instant viewing on netflix. If you can check it out.
Here is the preview

Do you like monsters? I like monsters. John Rozum likes monsters every single day. 365 days a year you can see a new monster daily at his site "The Grim Gallery"
Check it out here:http://grimgallery.blogspot.com
Don't worry. Morgan Freeman doesn't bite.
THINGS I MISS:#1
It is true. I miss the big fig newton. This guy never failed to bring a big smile to my face.....
and at the same time make me scared to turn out the lights at night.
Check it out for yourself and you be the judge. He might just be the new James Baxter!
